Experiential and group workshops deepen and enhance your personal and poetic process. Poetry comes forth as we find the present moment and speak from it. Drawing on the group synergy and the patterns of Zoom itself, we’ll explore patterns in poetry and life. Zoom reorients us to voice and face and connections in ways that support explorations of form. Group classes help writers experience the many voices out of which they write.
Our most recent offering was Tree lines, in which we experienced the forms trees find in poetry. Other workshops coming include When We Were Poets, a remembering of childhood relationships to poetry, and Earth Forms, a remembering of life patterns on earth. These experiential and group processes can show you what you can’t see or allow you to bring the body and its forms into the experience of writing. Click the image for current offerings.
I dwell in Possibility –
A fairer House than Prose –
More numerous of Windows –
Superior – for Doors –
Of Chambers as the Cedars –
Impregnable of eye –
And for an everlasting Roof
The Gambrels of the Sky –
Of Visitors – the fairest –
For Occupation – This –
The spreading wide my narrow Hands
To gather Paradise –
Emily Dickinson
